Jjimjilbang Tickets: Compare Time, Extras, and Entry Rules

Two jjimjilbang tickets can both cost ₩26,000 and buy different amounts of time. Before visiting, separate the admission price, included hours, closing time, and charges inside. We compared Aquafield Hanam's jjimjil spa and Centum Spa Land in Busan to show how those conditions change a visit.

This is a September 4, 2026 desk comparison of operator-published information, not a visit review. It excludes discounts, travel costs, and water-park packages. The venues are examples of different ticket conditions, not a ranking of Korea's best spas.

Same adult price, different time allowance

Read the exact product name when buying. Aquafield separates the jjimjil spa from its water park; a multipass combines the two. Our Hanam column concerns the jjimjil spa only. Aquafield usage and pricing.

The Hanam figures come from Aquafield's first, Hanam section. Spa Land's rates, student range, and entry conditions come from Shinsegae's dedicated Spa Land information. Neither ticket is described here as an all-day pass. Recheck dated notices and the terms of any discounted ticket rather than assuming the standard rate applies.

Work out the visit, not just the headline price

For an adult spending exactly five hours, with no discounts or purchases inside, our calculation is ₩26,000 at Hanam versus ₩31,000 at Spa Land: ₩26,000 admission plus one ₩5,000 extra hour. This compares admission/time charges only, not service quality. The published pages do not explain every partial-hour rounding case, so five hours and one minute should not be priced from this example.

Spa Land also extends the allowance to six hours when spending inside reaches ₩10,000, excluding admission. Shinsegae's extension condition. For an exactly six-hour adult visit, two additional hours would total ₩10,000; spending exactly ₩10,000 on qualifying extras would also bring the outlay to ₩36,000 including admission. The extension is therefore not a ₩10,000 cash saving in that comparison. Ask how the condition applies to your ticket and individual locker account before combining a family's spending or buying something solely to unlock it.

Check admission and closing as separate clocks

Aquafield's dedicated Spa Land page gives 09:00–22:00 with last entry at 21:00. On September 4, we also opened Shinsegae's page in a live browser: its general store-hours block and dedicated Spa Land section both showed that schedule. An earlier retrieved copy had returned 08:00–23:00 in the general block. We do not present that cached discrepancy as an ongoing conflict in the live page, or infer when the operator changed its hours. Check your visit date's notices before booking.

An allowance does not extend closing time. Our planning calculation is the smaller of the ticket allowance and the time remaining before closing:

These are hypothetical clock calculations, not admission confirmations, measured bathing time, or a new fee schedule. For six hours to fit before 22:00, the counted visit would need to start by 16:00; changing, queues, and checkout can reduce the usable time. We have not established each venue's exact billing-clock trigger. Capacity limits can cause waiting, according to Aquafield's operating policy.

Ask two different questions: 오늘 입장 마감과 이용 종료는 각각 몇 시인가요? — “What are today's last-entry and closing times?” — and 이용 시간은 언제부터 계산하나요? — “When does the counted visit time begin?” These are our practice sentences, not staff replies. Spa Land's listed enquiry number is 1668-2850. Neither published schedule establishes an overnight stay. Do not cancel accommodation because a general jjimjilbang article says people sleep in these facilities.

Bathing, shared rooms, and the locker key

The bathing area and the shared relaxation area are not interchangeable. Seoul's introductory lesson describes receiving clothes and a key, storing shoes, undressing, and showering before the communal bathing/sauna area, followed by mixed-gender rooms. That is background etiquette, not current prices or an overnight guarantee for our two venues. Seoul's 2017 jjimjilbang introduction.

At the desk, identify the bath entrance and where to change into the issued clothes. Aquafield specifically requires swimwear-material clothing in its water park; do not transfer that rule to the bath or treat a water-park ticket as the same product. Its policy also prohibits photography in locker rooms and saunas. Keep the phone away there, even if you only intend to photograph yourself. Aquafield operating policy.

At Aquafield, the RF locker key records purchases such as food, scrubs, and massage-chair use for payment on departure. Everyone must visit the settlement desk, including guests with no purchases, because time is checked there. The shoe locker will not open without settlement, and re-entry after settlement is not allowed. Aquafield settlement instructions.

For a group, agree on a meeting place in the permitted shared area before separating for changing. Aquafield's published policy does not allow opposite-sex children aged 48 months or older together in the sauna, shower, or changing area; children aged ten and under require a guardian. That is a planning constraint, not just a discounted ticket category. Aquafield's guardian and bathing rules.

A suitcase needs its own plan

Spa Land restricts large suitcases in the internal locker room and directs visitors to storage in front of the ticket desk. The listed charge is ₩3,000 for five hours, then ₩1,000 per additional hour. Spa Land luggage information. Thus a six-hour spa allowance does not itself buy six hours of suitcase storage. Exactly six hours of storage would be ₩3,000 + ₩1,000 = ₩4,000, using the posted whole-hour rate. Combined with the earlier ₩36,000 six-hour spa scenario, that makes a conditional ₩40,000 subtotal. This assumes one storage rental lasting exactly six hours and excludes other purchases; depositing luggage before admission can make the storage clock run longer than the spa clock. Partial-hour billing and the number of bags allowed in one locker remain unconfirmed.

The same operator guide separately lists four free parking hours, extending to six with qualifying ₩10,000 spending. That parking benefit is not a suitcase-storage benefit. Ask about locker dimensions and availability before treating the facility as storage between hotel checkout and a train; a published price does not reserve a space.

We did not find a corresponding large-suitcase price or size limit in the Aquafield usage, policy, and settlement pages reviewed. That is unconfirmed, not free storage. Our suggested question is 캐리어 보관이 가능한가요? 보관료와 크기 제한이 있나요? — “Can you store a suitcase? Is there a charge or size limit?” It is a practice sentence, not a reply obtained from either venue.
